Rev. Daniel J. Zak, Pastor (Phone ext. 219)

        Diocesan priest – Diocese of Toledo ordained May 27, 1967 by the Most Reverend John A. Donovan.  Graduate of St. Adalbert Elementary School – Toledo (1955); St. Francis de Sales HS – Toledo (1959); St. Meinrad Seminary College (1963- Bachelor Degree in Philosophy); Mt. St. Mary’s School of TheologyCincinnati (1967 – Master of Arts Degree in Theology); University of Toledo (1973 – Masters of Education Degree – Major in Guidance & Counseling).

        Appointed Pastor of St. Richard Parish, July 1, 1997; Previous assignments; Assoc. Pastor – St. Peter & Paul Sandusky 1967-1969; Assist Principal & Guidance Director at Lima Central Catholic HS 1967-1973; Vocation Director of Toledo 1973-1982; Co-Pastor of Corpus Christi University Parish at UT 1982-1994; Chaplain at St. Thomas More Parish at BGSU 1994-1997.

 

 

Rev. Mr. Timothy Worline, Deacon

1966 - Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toledo

1966 - Married Patricia Ann Conner

1976 - Founded T. R. Worline & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineering and Surveying Firm

1982 - Ordained Deacon in the Diocese of Toledo at St. Richards

1997 - Master of Arts Degree in Religious Studies from the University of Dayton

2009 - Retired from T. R. Worline & Associates, Inc.

        Tim has been a member of St. Richards all of his life, except for about 5 years right after he and Pat were married. During that time they were at St. Joseph's, Maumee.  Tim and Pat have 5 married children and 10 grand children.

 

 

Rev. Mr. Michael Sarra, Deacon

1970-Began employment with General Motors

1988-Journeyman Millwright

1988-Married Louise Ann Dieringer

1993- Associate of Technical Studies from Owens Technical College

1999-Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies

2004-Ordained Deacon of the Diocese of Toledo, serving at St Patrick Providence

2005-Began assignment at All Saints, Rossford

        Mike grew up in East Toledo and was a member of Sacred Heart Church where he attended grade school. He attended Cardinal Stritch High School (’68) and attended the University of Toledo.

         Mike and Louise moved to Swanton Township in 1990 where they have been raising daughter Marie (sophomore at Marquette University), daughter Renée (senior at Central Catholic), and son Charles (sophomore at Cardinal Stritch).

 

 

Mrs. Susan Richardson, Principal (Phone ext. 202)

         Mrs. Susan Richardson has been with the St. Richard family since 2007 and returns this year as our Principal. She is a graduate of Lourdes College and is currently working on her Master’s in Educational Administration with Catholic School emphasis. She was born and raised in Toledo where she continues to live with her wonderful husband, Scott and two awesome boys, Thomas and Griffin. She loves reading, traveling, football and any moments she can spend with family.

Sr. M. Valerie Schneider, S.N.D,  Liturgy Director (Phone ext. 225) or

        Sister M. Valerie is a Sister of Notre Dame and co-director of Lial Renewal Center in Whitehouse. She has masters degrees in theology (liturgy) and English from the University of Notre Dame. She has written several books and numerous magazine articles, primarily items for religious education instructors.

 

Mrs. Ann Geise, Religious Education (Phone ext. 204)

        Ann has been a member of St. Richard Parish since July 1997 when she moved to Swanton. She is married to Steve and they have 4 children. She began working for the parish in 2005 when she was brought on board to start up our LIFE TEEN program. She now oversees our religious education program, Sacramental preparation, RCIA for Children, Vacation Bible School, as well as the LIFE TEEN program. Ann is a life-long practicing Catholic, has a bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Toledo, and also loves to cook! The Bible verse that she uses as a guide for her life is 1 Peter 4:11.

 

Mrs. Judy Cole, Coordinator of Stewardship (Phone ext. 230)

        Paul & I have been parishioners of St. Richard for over 33 years. Paul is a convert to the Catholic church. We have two grown sons that attended St. Richards their elementary years.  My position at St. Richards includes opportunities to work with various ministries, plan events, welcome and meet new parishioners, and encourage Stewardship as a way of life.  

 

 

Mrs. Mary Warner, Coord. Of Ministry to the Sick & Bereaved and Adult Religious Education. (Phone ext. 229)

        We came to St. Richard Parish in 1999. Here I am 10 years later, retired from my accounting career with Toledo Public Schools and in my 5th year as Coordinator of the Ministry to the Sick and Bereaved and in my 3rd year as Coordinator for Adult Religious Education.  I do some juggle between being a wife to Charlie, a mother to our son Carl and his beautiful wife Trisha and grandmother to our 5 grandchildren. God has given us many blessings. Thanks be to God for his goodness.

 

Ms. Claudia Sturm, Parish Secretary/Office Manager (Phone ext. 217)

        I enjoy my position as Office Manager at St. Richard.  It is always a pleasure to be able to help those who call and come into the office.  Having contact with our parish members is a blessing. On a personal note – I have three grown sons and 2 grandsons.  My life is full and interesting.
